What we do

Tile, stone and everything under it

Tile is the last trade in the room and the first thing anybody notices. Most of the work that decides how it ages happens before a single tile goes down.

Bathrooms & showers

Full bathroom tile, curbless and barrier-free showers, benches and recessed niches. Waterproofed as a system, not patched at the corners.

Kitchens & backsplashes

Backsplashes cut around outlets and window returns so the pattern reads straight across the whole wall.

Floors

Porcelain, ceramic and natural stone, laid flat and level with the layout set from the sightline you actually walk in on.

Learn more

Heated floors

Electric in-floor heat installed under tile in bathrooms, kitchens and entryways, wired to its own thermostat.

Learn more

Natural stone

Marble, travertine and limestone, including the sealing and maintenance advice that keeps them looking right.

Large-format & slab

Oversized porcelain panels and mitred edges, where flatness of the substrate matters more than the tile itself.

How it works

Five stages, and only one of them is tiling

The same process on a single backsplash as on a full bathroom.

  1. Walkthrough & measure

We look at the room, measure it, and talk through what you want it to look like when it is finished.

  2. Layout & materials

Where the pattern starts, where the cuts land, and how much tile to order including breakage. Agreed before anything is bought.

  3. Prep & waterproofing

Substrate flattened, seams and corners sealed, wet areas waterproofed as a continuous system. This is the part nobody sees and the part that fails when it is skipped.

  4. Installation

Set by hand, checked for lippage as we go, with full coverage behind every tile rather than five dabs of thinset.

  5. Grout, seal & walkthrough

Grouted, sealed where the material needs it, cleaned down, and walked through with you before we load the van.

Who does the work

The person who quotes it is the person who installs it

Balicki Estates is Cody Balicki. You get the same person for the walkthrough, the layout, the install and the final walkthrough, which is the only arrangement where nothing gets lost between the quote and the room.

That also caps how many jobs run at once. It means a straight answer about when we can start rather than a crew appearing three weeks after the deposit cleared.

Questions we get asked first

Do you supply the tile or do I?
Either. Plenty of clients pick their own tile and have it delivered, and we will tell you how much to order so you are not short two boxes on the last wall. If you would rather not choose alone, we will come with you.
How is a shower waterproofed?
As one continuous system — the pan, the curb, the corners and the seams all tied together behind the tile. Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own, which is why a shower that was only sealed at the surface starts showing up on the ceiling below a few years later.
Can you do a curbless shower in an existing bathroom?
Usually, yes, depending on the joists and the drain. It is worth asking about at the walkthrough because it is far cheaper to plan for than to add later.
Do you take on repairs, or only full installations?
Both. Cracked tile, failed grout, loose sections and leaking showers are all worth a look. If a repair is the honest answer we will say so rather than quote you a full replacement.
How long will my bathroom be out of use?
It depends on the size and on whether waterproofing and heat are going in, so we give you a number at the walkthrough rather than a guess over the phone. You will have it in writing before anything starts.
What areas do you cover?
Hillsborough County and the surrounding Tampa Bay area. Ask if you are just outside it — the answer is often yes.

Send a photo of the room

A picture and a rough size is enough to tell you whether we are the right fit and roughly what it will take.
