Balicki Estates is Cody Balicki, installing custom tile across Macomb County and the surrounding metro Detroit area.
Tile is unusual among trades in that almost everything determining whether it lasts is invisible once the job is done. Whether the floor was flattened first. Whether there is full thinset coverage behind each tile or five dabs holding it on. Whether the shower was waterproofed as one system or sealed at the surface and hoped for. None of it shows on the day you hand over the keys, and all of it shows in five years.
That gap is the whole reason this business is run the way it is. The same person does the walkthrough, plans the layout, preps the substrate and sets the tile — so there is nobody to blame for a corner that was rushed and nowhere for a shortcut to hide.
It also means a limit on how many jobs run at once, and a straight answer about when yours can start.
